Guillermo Cecchi
The focus of his collaboration with the lab is the
characterization of
global brain states using novel analytic methods. The central idea is
that
the behavior of the brain, as a highly interconnected and non-linear
structure,
cannot be understood in terms of isolated areas performing independent
calculations. On the contrary, different partial computations receive
constant
input from a large number of distinct sources, and influence each other
on an ongoing basis. To this effect, we are developing techniques based
on extended non-linear networks of interacting elements in order to
characterize
