Prof. Oscar Calvo (Physics Dept, Univ. Islas Baleares, Mallorca Spain)

Prof. Calvo's expertise in the area of Electronic Instrumentation and Robotic is applied to develop novel intrumentation for thermal algesia studies. His research interests involve nonlinear time series analysis and identification, electronic simulation of biological systems and control. His most recent creations are the Algotrack, an instrument for fully automated cognitive pain behaviour assessment in rodents and the AlgoStim, a thermal stimulator for human fMRI studies.
